The Raconteurs co-founder Brendan Benson comes to Ireland in September for a nationwide tour that takes in the Róisín Dubh.
Along with keyboardist Mark Watrous, Brendan will be performing all the hits from his critically acclaimed back catalogue, including 'One Mississippi', 'Lapalco', 'The Alternative to Love' and this year's offering 'My Old, Familiar Friend'.
With deep Irish roots, Ireland has always been a special place for Brendan. His mother was born here and he still has family living around the country.
"At long last, I'm doing it; touring Ireland! I've always wanted to, but for some reason or another, couldn't," said Brendan.
"Doing it a little differently too; going to drive myself and Mark Watrous to the gigs in a van, with just an acoustic guitar and a keyboard in tow. Playing for gas money! Just like the old days. Good way to see the country, I figure."
Brendan will be re-releasing the re-mastered 'Lapalco' album, which is available on vinyl for the first time and fans will be treated to a previously unheard track with the purchase of the record. B-sides will also be available digitally.
Brendan and Mark are making a very special recording for Irish fans and they will have a 7'' vinyl 'Well and Goode', featuring the tracks 'Spray Tan' and 'Two Birds' available to purchase at their live show.
Benson will play the Roisin Dubh on Tuesday 21 September.
