Well known DJ and actor Goldie will hit the decks at GPO this August in what is sure to be a treat for dance fans. The film and reality TV star kicked off his career with the hauntingly dark tune 'Terminator' back in the early 90s and has lead a interestingly varied career since.
While Goldie was seeing the birth and growth of the now infamous drum and bass label Metalheadz, he found the time to create the appropriately named Timeless, The album sold more then 250,000 copies and it is still talked about today.
While he has made several TV appearances on shows such as Shooting Stars, The Jo Whiley Show, and Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Goldie has also tackled meatier roles such as that of Angel in Eastenders and parts in northern gangland flick 'Everybody Loves The Sunshine', the Guy Ritchie-directed 'Snatch', and Bond movie 'The World is Not Enough'.
Goldie also DJs every weekend abroad, with performances in Europe, America, Australia, South East Asia, South America, The United States, Korea and Japan all under his belt.
His long awaited new album 'Sine Tempus' is the soundtrack to his original screenplay and will be released next year. Catch Goldie on Sunday 1 August at the GPO. Doors open after 11pm and admission is priced at €10 before 12 midnight.
