The Galway Jazz Festival is set to awaken the musical yearnings of Galwegian jazz fans when it returns this week. This year features a select programme so tickets are limited – ensure that you get yours in advance. The festival kicks off on Friday 30 September with the wonderful stylings of ‘Deviant and Sebi C’ in the Town Hall Studio.
This is followed by free festive late night jazz in The Jazz Club in the Meyrick Hotel from 11pm. On Saturday 1 October you can catch the talented Neofobic plus Colm O’Hara in the Druid Theatre at 8pm. And Cois Cladaigh plus special guests will perform at 10pm in St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church.
The talented Mikael Fernstram will perform at 5pm in Druid on Sunday 2 October, followed by outstanding foursome The Rick Margitza Quartet at 8pm. Check galwayjazzfest.com for further details.
