Comedian Phil Nichol is a winner of the ‘If’ comedy award (formerly the Perrier) at the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and former member of cult Canadian comedy trio Corky and the Juice Pigs. His is comedy at its most eye-popping, synapse-fizzing, moral majority baiting manic. Quiet simply, Phil is both delightfully shocking and hilarious at the same time.
Hovering between insanity and brilliance, you could power a small town from his performances. Add that to storytelling nous, stagecraft surprises and a brazen disregard for personal dignity and you've got a shameless shaggy dog story to warm the cockles of the heart.
Phil is joined by Mary Bourke, Simon Clayton and Andrew Stanley as part of the Róisín Dubh’s comedy show tonight at 9pm. Tickets cost €15.
