Following on from last year's fundraiser, Youth Ballet West will return to the junction of Shop Street and Main Guard Street on Monday 16 August from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. Transforming the street into a vibrant theatre for the day, Galway's shoppers will be treated to the highest quality of dance the West has to offer.
Most recently featured in the annual Macnas Parade, Youth Ballet West has also delighted audiences at Feile Na Bealtaine in Dingle and at The Dublin Youth Dance.
Sweeping the boards again at The National Dance Awards in Longford, Galway is firmly establishing itself as a leading centre of ballet in Ireland.
Four of the young dancers have been selected to apprentice with the Cathy Sharps Dance Ensemble in Basil this month, and the entire company have been invited to perform at the Cairo International Festival for Children's Theatre in Egypt in December.
