Guinness brings the 'Our Thursdays' showcase to Galway this week when the hottest new musical acts will all vie for a chance to share the stage with Snow Patrol, as part of the Arthur's Day line-up on Thursday 23 September.

Music fans can catch emerging acts performing free of charge across pub venues in Galway at 9pm tomorrow, Thursday 22 July. Fans can then vote, via text, for their favourite act to go through to the next 'Our Thursdays' night.

Tomorrow Joop and Fling will perform in Bar 903, when Without George will also be taking to the stage at Campbell's Tavern in Headford.

At the same time, Ultan Conlon and Peter Mary James will be performing in The Blue Note, Oddsocks Revival and Alma De Toro will be in The Cellar Bar, while Chris Nash and Tom Portman will be giving it their all in Fibber Magee's.

The winners of each night will be in with a chance to secure a place at the regional showcase event, taking place in Galway on Thursday 26 August.

The winner of the regional showcase will be selected by music industry experts and will go on to perform at the national showcase in Belfast in September.

The three final acts will perform at the Arthur's Day celebrations in Galway, Cork and Dublin.

Arthur's Day celebrations are strictly over 18s events. Visit www.drinkaware.ie. For detailed information about Guinness and Arthur's Day, visit www.guinnessmedia.com.
