After a blissful set at Electric Picnic, Jape has announced a Galway visit as part of a nationwide Irish tour to coincide with the release of their brand new album. Three years have passed since Jape took the Irish Album of the Year Award at the Choice Music Prize.
Chief songwriter Richard Egan has said that he has tried to push his songwriting as hard as he could and see how many different styles and moods he could try out for the new album. “Eventually, I realised that you could just keep on doing that forever so I decided it was time to start letting these songs go for a walk around the place,” he said.
Jape’s new single ‘You Make The Love’ is released on 23 September and new album ‘Ocean of Frequency’ on 30 September. They play the Róisín Dubh on Saturday 8 October at 9pm. Tickets cost €12.50.
