Damian Clark and Addy Van Der Borgh will headline the Laughter Lounge's fifth anniversary show in the Roisin Dubh next week. Damo Clark is probably best known as the funny one from RTÉ TV show I Dare Ya!

'There is barely a bad word to say about Clark: distinctive and possessing a comic talent beyond his years, both biological and mental', according to chortle.co.uk.

Addy Van Der Borgh has that rare talent of making people laugh as soon as he walks on stage. He is a performer of high acclaim and original material. His ability was noticed immediately by the BBC when he appeared on the 'Stand-up Show' (BBC1) after only one year as a comedian. He subsequently appeared on 'Live at Jongleurs' and 'The World Stands Up' for Sky TV. He has also written and co-presented twenty episodes of 'TV Meltdown' for Sky 1 with Kirsty Gallagher.

The Laughter Lounge at the Roisin Dubh started on Wednesday night in May 2005 with a fantastic show from the Cuban Brothers. In the 300 plus shows it has put on since then (including outside Roisin Dubh shows) , it has brought some of the biggest acts in the world to Galway.

This show, at 8.30pm on Wednesday 19 May, will also feature Steve Cummins, Ben Buckley (Cork), Peter Byrne (Bankers Comedy Dublin), John Donnellan, Danny Dowling and Robbie Bonham. There will be a cake and buns and drinks and a surprise or two.

Tickets cost €12.50, while all tickets bought on line are only €5 to mark the fifth birthday.
